# Items & Equipment — Ocarina of Time remake

## Weapon

- **Deku Stick** (Child Link; Kokiri Forest): A breakable club that hits harder than the Kokiri Sword and carries fire from torches to light others or burn webs. Only child Link can use it. How to get it: Snap one off a defeated Deku Baba or buy them at the Kokiri Shop.
- **Deku Nut** (Either age; Kokiri Forest): Throw one to release a blinding flash that stuns nearby enemies, including bosses like Queen Gohma. It's the quickest way to open up Lizalfos, Dinolfos and other guarded foes. How to get it: Collect them from defeated Deku Babas or buy them at the Kokiri Shop.
- **Fairy Slingshot** (Child Link; Inside the Deku Tree): Fires Deku Seeds at distant targets such as Skulltulas, eye switches and Queen Gohma's eye. Adult Link swaps it for the Fairy Bow. How to get it: Beat the Deku Scrub guarding a side room on the Deku Tree's upper floor, then open the large chest past the door it opens.
- **Bombs** (Either age; Dodongo's Cavern): Blast cracked walls and boulders, open hidden grottos and damage armored enemies. You need them to stun King Dodongo. How to get it: Cross the platforms in a trap-filled room on the cavern's upper level to reach the large chest holding the Bomb Bag.
- **Boomerang** (Child Link; Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly): Stuns or kills small enemies, flips distant switches and fetches items out of reach. It's the key weapon against Barinade and Jabu-Jabu's tentacles. How to get it: Carry Ruto through the door opened by a floor switch, then defeat the Stingers in that room to make the chest appear.
- **Fairy Bow** (Adult Link; Forest Temple): Shoots arrows at eye switches, distant enemies and bosses. It's also the launcher for Fire, Ice and Light Arrows. How to get it: Defeat the Stalfos that ambush you in a Forest Temple chamber, then open the large chest that appears.
- **Megaton Hammer** (Adult Link; Fire Temple): A heavy hammer that smashes rusted switches, flattens platforms and shatters boulders. It's the main weapon against Volvagia. How to get it: Defeat the Flare Dancer guarding the path to the upper Fire Temple, then climb to the large chest beyond.
- **Bombchus** (Either age; Hyrule Market): Self-propelled bombs that race along floors and up walls before exploding. Use them to hit targets you can't reach with a thrown bomb. How to get it: Buy them at the Bombchu Shop in Hyrule Market's back alley or win them at the Bombchu Bowling Alley; some dungeon chests hold them too.
- **Kokiri Sword** (Child Link; Kokiri Forest): Child Link's only sword and your main weapon in the first three dungeons. Mido won't let you see the Great Deku Tree until you have it and a shield. How to get it: Crawl through the hole in the forest's training area, dodge the rolling boulder, and open the chest at the end.
- **Master Sword** (Adult Link; Temple of Time): The sword of evil's bane and adult Link's standard blade. Returning it to the pedestal sends you back to childhood. How to get it: Open the Door of Time with the Spiritual Stones and the Song of Time, then draw the blade from its pedestal.
- **Giant's Knife** (Adult Link; Goron City): A two-handed blade that deals double damage but leaves no hand free for a shield. It breaks after enough use. How to get it: Buy it from Medigoron in Goron City for 200 Rupees.
- **Biggoron's Sword** (Adult Link; Death Mountain Trail): The strongest sword in the game: two-handed, twice the Master Sword's damage, and unbreakable. You can't block while it's equipped. How to get it: Finish the adult trading sequence and give Biggoron the Claim Check.

## Tool

- **Lens of Truth** (Child Link; Bottom of the Well): Uses magic to reveal invisible enemies, fake walls and hidden platforms. It's essential in the Shadow Temple and Bongo Bongo's fight. How to get it: Defeat Dead Hand in the well's lowest chamber and open the chest it leaves behind.

How to get it: Buy them from the bean seller near the start of Zora's River; the price rises with each bean.
- **Hookshot** (Adult Link; Kakariko Graveyard): Fires a chain that pulls you toward wooden targets and stuns or damages enemies. It also grabs out-of-reach items. How to get it: Pull back Dampé's grave as an adult and race his ghost through the tunnels beneath to win it.

## Magic

- **Fire Arrows** (Adult Link; Lake Hylia): Arrows wreathed in flame that light distant torches, melt red ice and burn enemies like Anubis. Each shot uses magic. How to get it: After the Water Temple refills the lake, stand on the small island and shoot an arrow into the rising sun; the Fire Arrows fall to the ground.
- **Ice Arrows** (Adult Link; Gerudo Training Ground): Arrows that freeze enemies solid for a moment. They're entirely optional but make some fights easier, such as the Stalfos in Ganon's Castle. How to get it: Clear the training ground's challenges and open the chest in its central treasure room.

- **Din's Fire** (Child Link; Hyrule Castle): Unleashes a dome of fire around you that damages everything nearby and lights torches. Usable at either age once learned. How to get it: Bomb the boulder at the dead end beside the path to Hyrule Castle, then play Zelda's Lullaby for the Great Fairy inside.

How to get it: Bomb open the hidden Great Fairy's Fountain at the edge of Zora's Fountain and play Zelda's Lullaby.
